In the Operational Control Center Rail (OCCR) and OBI, more than 300 employees from various rail companies work 24/7 to improve rail performance. As part of a large-scale renovation, the entire ICT environment (back-end network and front-end) has been replaced and improved. Emergency power supplies have also been expanded.
OCCR ontwerp
Syracuse carried out the ICT project management of variant studies, design, tendering, construction and implementation. In addition, a lot of attention has been paid to drawing up a comprehensive SLA and ensuring that the users of the OCCR and the supplier of the ICT services, ProRail, have had structural discussions about the ICT services.
In collaboration with ICT product managers and ICT architects, the architecture was first determined and the various (network) designs were drawn up in collaboration with Routz. Engineering firm Movares has drawn up the design for the emergency power supplies.
Architecture design of OCCR
To enable the renovation and ICT adjustments, temporary ICT and emergency power facilities were first realized at various ProRail locations, after which the relocation of the employees was possible. After tendering, the realization was carried out by partners such as ITN, T-Systems and Conclusion. Furthermore, specials such as video walls and complete crisis rooms have been set up by specialist companies in good cooperation with the users of the OCCR and OBI.
By simply pressing a touchscreen, with pre-programmed scenarios, the windows are blinded and the correct screens and cameras start up.
It is now a relief to work here without worrying about support resources.
